Are you afraid?
Have you ever been afraid?
It doesn’t really matter what you were afraid of. But…what happened next?
Did you hesitate?
Did you falter?
Did you question?
Evaluate…again…
Go get advice?
The Bible tells us that a couple of women met Jesus as they were going to honor his body and care for his tomb. They mistook him for the gardener (John 20:14-15)
It was only until Jesus said Mary’s name that she recognized him.
Mary had seen two Angels and Jesus himself appeared to her.
She was encouraged by Jesus himself to “go to my brothers and tell them,” (John 20:17).
Yet on the way she and her companion needed reassurance again from Jesus and so he appeared to them a second time with this message, “Don’t be afraid.” (Matthew 28:10)
Jesus is encouraging you today. As many times as it takes, he will speak to you and reassure you of his path for you.
Do not be afraid, go and tell.
Jesus reassured Mary “There they will see me” (Matthew 28:10). Where? To the place Jesus was sending them.
Are you willing to go to the places and set the priorities you need to in order to see Jesus work in your life?
If he was willing to die for you, please, don’t wait, hurry. Others are waiting on the end of your obedience.
A prayer for you: Jesus you are God. Help those reading this to no longer be held back from the steps they know they need to take with you. Reassure them over and over. Others are waiting on their obedience. May we go quickly when led by you. -Amen
